My father, Raymond Arsene had 12 brothers and sisters as mentioned in your posts. Roland, Edgar, Noel, Rita, Al etc.

I believe her husband was jean baptist vervais dit st.amour but i will double check.

Do you also have information on the Lafrance family? I am searching for a photograph of Anna Lafrance and her sister Mélodie Lafrance. Would have these ladies in your database? They were the sisters of my great-grandfather François Lafrance, of Sturgeon Falls.

Greg: We lost contact. Since 2005 I have had much loss, including my own health, I have moved, and I am doing much better. I hope you read this message and contact me again, I would like to get copies of the articles you have. I saw one in Readers Digest about four years ago. I did not even understand when I was writing back in forth that Romeo had already died. Grandma was born in 1912, I could be off by a year, and her birthday was in January. I remember that was the last question you asked. I have her death and birth certificates. Grandma was related to the Jolicoeurs, Raymonds, and St. Amours. I hope this helps.

My Mother Therese (Marie Jaqueline Therese) passed away seven years ago now, all my parents, step parents, and one nephew withing two years of each other. Now I am a little more lucid and grounded. I have reels of old film I would like to put on DVD, and my Grandmother was an avid picture taker all her life. I have photos of Romeo. My email addres now is joliceour1957@gmail.com. My name is Gisele and I currently live in San Diego California. I am the Daughter of Lucie St-Amour. Her Fathers name was Glorien St-Amour who was married to Yvonnne St-Amour.

Its my understanding that you are my Cousin I think. Anyway, to answer your question I remember hearing a story where the St-Amours originally lived in France in the 1800's during a War I think it was. Well apparently we fled France and in order to avoid detection we changed our name to St-Amour. I dont know if this is accurate or not. But its what I heard.

hi andre.. my name is Joanne Blais.. i was looking at this and saw you had info on my Sister Therese Ann Blais born feb 10 1960 and died shortly after. My father was Gaetan Blais. He is now passed away and my mother would like to find info on where my sister is buried and any other documentation she can find. My mother wasnt allowed to leave the hospital after having my sister and unable to find where she was buried. Hi; I'm Jennifer, the daughter of Gerald (Marie-Louise and Eugene's oldest). I have just started researching the family. The last I had heard Uncle Morris and family were out in B.C. I had tried checking 411 for Susan or Richard St.Amour(the two oldest children), without any success. If you hear from them or have any family info, I would appreciate a response. My Dad passed away in 1973, shortly after Grandpa. Mom passed away a couple of weeks ago and I have no contacts with the St.Amour's to get any info. I have been in contact with a Great-Granddaughter of Marie-Louise from her first marriage. She is going to send me a copy of a picture of Napoleon Gratton, our Great-Grandfather.

I think I could help put some things together. I am the granddaughter of Antonio Xavier St. Amour who was a brother to Roland Raymond Edgar Noel Rita Aldege and 3 more although nobody seems to remember him as being part of this family, at least no one is mentioning.

Do you happen to have a picture of my grandfather as well? His name was Antonio (Tony) and seems to have been all but forgotten in all mentionings of this family. He is deceased but did have 10 children 8 of which are still living and they have large families of their own.

I am looking for info on Frank Santamour (St. Amour) my gggrandfather. I know that he died in 1929 in Wisconsin. I have found him in the 1910 census in Stambaugh, Michigan and in the 1920 Census in Marinette Wisconsin. Any info would be appreciated as I have run into a dead end.

I think Mary Elizabeth St. Amour was my Great, Great Grandmother, I only have information on her marriage and her children and decendents after. I have a picture of her with her family, in this picutre she was 51 yrs old, picture is dated 1887. btw I am sure this is your Elizabeth also - my grandfather was born in St. Albans, VT. Dilda St. Amour

In my family I have a lady named Dilda (or Dilde) St. Amour who married William St. Cyr. When William died, she married Ole Haugen. William and Dilda had 5 daughters in the late 1870's and early 1880's.

Dilda was said to have been born in Wisconsin, but it was also said that the family was from Canada.

Anybody have any clues? Also, is her name short for something?

My great-great-grandfather was Frank St.Amour born in 1849. His father was believed to be named Joseph. Frank married Emily Abigail Corey of Stanbridge, PQ. They had four children - Frank, Lillian, Caleb, and Lois - all of whom were living in Chelmsford, MA and using Santamour by about 1920.

Info on the Corey's is abundant. Anything on Frank's family? Thanks.

Vervais(Vervet) Dit St. Amour-

I am having problems understandingwhy St. aMour was picked up in the family tree. My GG Grandfather, was the last to use the name Vervais. Edme Vervet(gx5 GF) came over to the New france(Quebec) he didn't carry the name St. Amour. Also, I noticed that though his last name was spelled Vervet his son Augustin was spelled Vervais and added Dit St. Amour.

If anyone coudl help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I can understand where the different spellings could happen because most could not read or write but not another name added on.

Also, Vervais was dropped when my great grandfather was born. Joseph Anselme St. Amour.

I am researching Narcisse Payette dit St. Amour (b. 1811/Repentigny, L'Assomption - d. circa 1900/CT, USA). Narcisse was son of Joseph Payette St. Amour & Marie-Victoire Chaput. Narcisse married twice - first 1832/Repentigny - 1st wife - Melanie-Zoe Quintal (1816-1859)(daughter of Joseph Quintal & Elizabeth Mercier).

Narcisse & Zoe had 19 children - a number of whom emigrated to USA. Daughters include Zoe-Sophia (married Francois Marois), Eleanore (married Laurent Chevigny-Durand), Cecile (married Hyancithe Brien-Desrochers), Azele/Azeline (married Zephirin Fagnon/Fagnant), Exilda/Azilda (married Francois Rousse-Matheau). Several others died as infants.

Sons include Narcisse Jr., James, Joseph, Theophile, Mathias, Adolphus (possibly Delphis), Paul, Ormidas, Isodique(?) and John D.

Most interested in son John D. (possible real name Hermislon)(b. circa 1843/"100 miles north of Montreal", married Bridget Delia Noonan in Iowa and died 1914/Rapid City, South Dakota, USA). Couple had 7 children.

The husband of Ellen Louis St. Amour was Louis James Tasse.
Changed spelling to Tossy, date unknown.

He was my great-great-grandfather.

Do you have more information on Lovina Martha Wilsey's parents Jacob Wilsey and Martha Crandall? I have no more on that leg of the family tree, but have been able to piece together a long line of the St. Amour family.

Your dad is my cousin Johnny. At least that is what we called him in the day when we were all still kids. My father is Roland St.Amour, youngest of the gang of your Grandfather Aldege. I am answering many threads right now, so keep in touch and we should all be able to put something great together
