I am searching for any descendant of Pierre Botquin fit St. Andre, form France, who came to Canada with the French Marines. He was first stationed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and later at Fort Ponchitrain jun Michigan. He built a home in Boucherville, Quebec, Canada, moved to Montreal and then built a 2d home in Boucherville before he died. He was a ship builder, a fur trader, master carpenter. Later the family dropped the Botquin and used the St. Andre name. The family had descendants that settled in Michigan, Mass, New York, and Louisiana. Andre St. Andre settled at Cane River in Natchitoches Parish, along with brothers Jacques and Jacob. Andre married Marie Jacob Rachal and is my direct ancestor. Any information on any of the names listed would be greatly appreciated.
