Anyone of you that is a descendent of Pierre Botquin dit
St. Andrie, born St. Pierre, Sauman, Anjou, France about 1642, I have a faily good family tree of the family from Pierre marrying Marie Claude Bouguoin and migrating to Canada with a French Regiment, to settle in the Boucherville area, Quebec, Canada. The clan stayed in that area until about four generations had passed and some went to Fort Detroit with Champlain while some went to Louisiana with St. Benet in Natchitoches Parish. The two were named Jacques and Andre. Andre is my direct ancestor.
If you will send me you snail mail addresses, I will try to run off a copy of the tree that I have and maybe it can fill in some of the puzzles for you.
At Fort Detroit there was a Charles St. Andre and a Botquin and one seemed to be a soldier and one a farmer.
Our son has done quite a bit of research on the family but lost the line when the 2 brothers went to Louisiana. I have corresponded with some of the family in Michigan, but they seem to have lost interest, and I talked to some that lives in Utah and they seem to be connected, but I received no direct confirmation.
I will be glad to help you all that I can.
My name was St. Andre, but changed to St. Andrie when I enlisted in the US Air Force. There are variation on the name such as St. Andry, St. Andria, St. Andrea and St. Andrie.
