Hi all,

Every once in a while I receive postings in my e-mail regarding Stablers in the southern USA or Germany which are of no interest to me. However, I have just received one from a Carol looking to get some STABLER research sharing started so I followed a link...

After all these years, with the recent help of Jane D., I have finally gotten my STABLER line from London back to Yorkshire (where ALL of the Stablers seemed to be while I was seeking some in Holborn, Middlesex and the Strand, London!

I am now seeking any information about the family of William STABLER (of Haxby) that married Mary LONCASTER ( of Dalby, d/o Stephen) on 23 or 25 NOV 1777 in Dalby, North Riding, Yorkshire, England.

Children I am aware of are:

MARY - Birth: 20 AUG 1784 Christening: 22 AUG 1784 Haxby, Yorkshire, England
MATHEW - Birth: 03 AUG 1778 Christening: 09 AUG 1778 Haxby, Yorkshire, England
ELIZABETH - Birth: 14 JUL 1781 Christening: 15 JUL 1781 Haxby, Yorkshire, England
WILLIAM -Birth: 09 JUN 1790 Christening: 12 SEP 1790 Haxby, Yorkshire, England
JANE - Birth: 21 SEP 1787 Christening: 23 SEP 1787 Haxby, Yorkshire, England

My line is through William b 09 JUN 1790. He married Mary Ann ____?___ . William and his wife both died 1867 in the St Martin district. I am aware of 2 children:

William - Birth: 27 MAR 1817 Christening: 01 FEB 1818 Saint Leonards, Shoreditch, London, England

and my line -

John Goldwin Stabler b abt 1822 in St. Andrews Holborn, Middlesex and on 29 Dec 1845 married Thomasine "Jane" Shaw in the Parish Church, St. Mary's Lambeth, Surrey.

I'd appreciate any assistance, suggestions OR connections with other descendants of Haxby Stablers.

Thank you kindly for your time, H.
