Well make it simple my familys last name is stai,
Grandparents were Ruth And Donald Stai from some where in WI my Father was Donald Edvard Stai heres the catch...
As the legend of my family goes "our name is not stai...Our ancestors were on a boat from Norway late 1800's with no papers (common day green card) when a man on the ship died. His last name Stai my ancestors thew him over board and took his papers so we assumed the name Stai...
Problem is that the only person that actually knew our last name has passed away...If this sounds like your family please post back... Btw this is not an urban legend... this story has been passed through my family for over 100 years
