Harry Pringle Stalker descendants

Seeking to find relatives or information to connect with family from Liverpool. Elizabeth Clara and 5 of her children to Joseph Stalker (b 1839 d 1900) William Asbridge, Louie Ann, Lilian Jane, Harold, Emily Gertrude came out to Australia in 1914. Harry Pringle remained in Liverpool and married with children. I am Louie Ann's Granddaughter. There were also other children to Josephs first marriage Clara and Ada Stalker who also remained in Liverpool.

Hi Kelsey,
We also descend from Joseph Stalker and Hannah Albrecht through their son, John Stalker and Clarissa Bradt. Their daughter, Mary Elizabeth Stalker married Clinton Love. They all moved to Wisconsin after the death of John Stalker in New York. Clarissa lived with Clinton and Mary Love until she remarried. I found her on a census record with two of her sons in Wisconsin.
I only recently found the details of John Stalker's death thanks to another researcher who shared.
I have a little history on this line that I compiled while trying to verify that Mary Stalker was our g-g-grandmother.

Hello.. I'm new to this. I just recently go into searching for my ancestors.. I've gotten as far as my great'x5' grandfather. He was Joseph Stalker. Don't know anything else other than he was married to a Hannah Albrechts Albright who was born Sept 3 1753.

Bob Stalker, 85, passed away on 28 Aug 2009 from congestive heart failure and diabetes. He was born 27 Aug 1924 in San Jose, Calif. Bob graduated from San Jose High in 1943. 1944-1946, he was in the Army Ordinance Div. during WWII and attended San Jose State University from 1946-1948.
Bob met his future wife of 61 years, Barbara J. Belcher, from Hawai'i, at San Jose State. Barbara and Bob came back to Hawai'i on the Lurline Ship in 1948 to start their new life together. Their first apartment in Honolulu was $47.50/month.
Bob worked for Sears, Ramsey, Prudential Ins as an Agent, and sold Biodegradable Cleaning Products. For 26 yrs, Bob was proudly known as "Information Bob," since he wrote and sold the book, "How to get there on the Bus." Bob and the ABC stores sold 400,000 copies in English and Japanese.
In 1950, Bob and Barbara built a home in Kailua where they raised their four children across the street from Kailua Beach.
Survived by wife Barbara; son Glenn (Susie) Stalker, Kaua'i; daughters: Patty (Doug) Richardson, Alaska, Susan Ebinger, Oregon, Judy (Wesley) Suan, Kailua; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
Bob loved his dedicated caregivers: Judy, Marilyn, Joan, Nicole, Mele, Tracy and Leah.
Bob loved Hawai'i, visiting with old and new friends and sharing family stories.
There will be no service at this time. Donations to your favorite charity are appreciated.

I am desperately searching Daniel Stalker who lived in Wilkes Co. GA from about 1770 to 1835. His last wife was Elizabeth Jackson. Elizabeth's other marriages were to Mr Muse, Mr. Sutton and Mr. Norman). I have seen Daniel Stalker's name written as Stocker, Stauker, Stacker during his numerous land dealings in Wilkes and the surrounding GA counties. I do not know when he passed away, if he had a family before he married Elizabeth, if he owned land, where he came from or what became of his property when he died. Did a little checking on Richard Radley b. 1799 you indicate married a Hanna Stalker.

Firstly, my husband's Richard Radley m. to Margaret RAMSEY was born in 1829, New Salem, Albany Co, NY. That's a 30 yrs difference.

Next, according the "Descendants of Albert & Arent Andriessen Bradt" there is a Richard RADCLIFF, REDLY, RADLY, RADLIFF (all the same family) who went by RADLY/REDLY born 8 July 1799, bp 18 Aug 1799 s/o William Redly & Lydia Bradt. The 'BRADT' original book (I do not have supplements) does not following this family forward.

Another possibility of Richard RADLEY would be Richard b. 29 Dec, bp 7 Feb 1802 Jerusalem Ref Church, s/o Rykerd (Richard) Redly & Emma/Emily Clutche.

Okay, Barbara maybe you can help me here with some unverified data that has always had me puzzled:

Although I have not been able to tie this Hannah to Mary Stalker, I find this very interesting. Bruce Ackerman (Stalker researcher) called this to my attention, but he has no explanation for this Hanah either.

Nearly all the Stalkers settled in or around Albany County; but here we find Hannah Stalker born 1807 in Albany who married Richard Radley. He was also born in Albany in 1798. He died in 1867 in MANLIUS, Onondaga Co. Hannah died in 1860 Cicero, Onondaga Co. They had five children.... Catherine b. 1827 Albany, died in Onondaga in DEWITT; William born in Albany 1828 died in Onondaga Co., Joseph 1832 and Harriet 1834 both born in Albany...nothing more known...and John Lewis Radley born 1837 in MANLIUS, Onondaga Co.

I also found another Richard Radley born in New Scotland, Albany, NY whose father was John Radley and whose mother was Betsy (Elizabeth) Bradt (Bratt, Brate.)

Now, I am sure these all tie into our family line somehow, but we cannot find this particular Hannah...

Could "Hannah" be your Margaret who married Richard Radley?...or maybe the other Richard Radley whose mother was also a Bradt?

Regarding Clarisa Bradt, John C. Schoonmaker was listed as "other spouses" after John Salker died. They were married after 1830 in WI. The source was from a listing of persons in Berne, Albany Co., NY, so this leaves no doubt about the 2nd marriage of our Mary's mother.

Then in the 1850 census of Pewaukee, Waukesha County, Wisconsin (this was after Clinton and Mary Stalker Love had moved there) we find the following:
J. C. Schomaker 63, NY
Clarisa Schomaker 64, NY

They were living in the same household with Alexander Stalker and his wife Cornelia with children John, William, E. B., Adeline, James, Alonzo, and Emma.

Also in that same census of Waukesha in Muskego twp we find this same couple, J. C. and Clarisa listed in the household of another of her sons, Albert Stalker, with his wife, Clarissa and children N. E. and H. J. Fenton. There is a mystery as to why they are listed in the household of both sons, but perhaps they lived with one part of the time and the then the other

I hope this helps you with your question about Alexander. Apparently he moved from NY to WI along with his mother and her new husband, his sister Mary Stalker Love and his brother Albert Stalker.

I am searching for descendants of Donald & Elizabeth Stalker who immigrated to Canada abt. 1841. They had 12 children.
These Stalkers immigrated to the USA around the Ohio, Michigan areas. Most of these boys from this family worked on the Great Lakes as skippers, master, sailors & engineers. Some of the 12 childrens names were. Duncan, John, Walter, Archie, Daniel, Charles, Andrew. If anyone is intereted in this family please get in touch, would love to share any info. I do have all 12 childrens names and some info on their descendants, but this I would like to add to.

Yes, my married name is Mulvey and my husband's grandfather, Michael (b. 17 Mar 1861) came to the US 10 May 1877 from County Rosscommon, Ireland and settled in Boston, Mass. His parents were Patrick Mulvey and Mary Kilduff. I have no other information on the family of Patrick and Mary.

all i know is richard is from some where in iowa, had a frist wive, do not know who she was, then married my grandmother cora faye ( poteet ) cobb, some time back in the very late 70's or eary 80.s, then past away sometime in the 90.s.
like to know who his frist wife was, with her parents name and her mother's maiden name and how my childern that they had , with there names and date of brith, along with who richard's parents, where too with his mothers maiden name.

So many Stalkers- so little time. It would be great if more of us could join the StalkerStocker Project with Family Tree DNA. I have been searching for the Alexander lineage for 20 years and have only gotten back to born in US1790's and living in (1833-1861) in Napanee,Sheffield and Plevna Ont Canada. It might tie up a bunch of loose strings if more of us could sign up for testing.

I am not sure that I am a relative but Alexander Stalker, who was born in the 1790's in USA and later relocated in Canada has had several Ben's in our lineage. We have recently begun to do DNA testing with the Family Tree Project. The Stocker /Stucker /Stalker DNA Project within the Family Tree Project is active and joining (free) gains you a discount for Family Tree DNA testing. I would sure like to Connect Alexander to his family source in the states.

The best way to determine whether we, or many of the other Stalkers are related would be (if you haven't done so already) is to do DNA testing with the Family Tree DNA testing program. Sue Mulvey, the administrater for this Stalker site and the StalkerStoliker site at Family Tree DNA is listed in this site. She may be able to steer you to a good discount for testing and to may be able to determine which of us who have already had testing done you are most apt to be related to. Alexander (born in USA in 17 0r 1800's and then migrated to Canada by 1833) may be from your family. It would be great to find our connection to the states.

I have information about a Henry Stalker born in NY in 1815. He was a boat operator on the Erie Canal for many years. His family migrated from Scotland to Holland to NY. He was the son of William Stalker and he had a half-sister, Mary Stalker born in Albany in 1801. She has been confused with our ancestor, Mary Stalker who was also born in Albany, but in 1808.
This Henry Stalker died in 1892 in Delta, MI.

Mary was the daughter of John Stalker and Clarisa Bradt Stalker.
After John Stalker died, Clarisa married John Schoonmaker and moved to Wisconsin.
Clarisa's son, Joseph H. Stalker was living next door to Clinton and Mary Stalker Love in Onondaga Co. NY in 1830, and he also later moved to WI, along with Clinton and Mary.
Also, two other of Mary's brothers, Alexander and Albert made the same move. Most of them were living in Waukesha Co.

Donald, do you, or does anyone...have any info on Emma Etta Stalker, daughter of John Andrew Stalker and his wife Lavinia or Lavina Vankoughnet? Emma was born about 1870 and married Marshall Hawley on December 17, 1887 at Clarendon Township in L & A County.

I only JUST found this marriage and Marshall Hawley's connection to the Stalker family last night. On April 9, 1909 Marshall married Ella Lavina Babcock at Sheffield Township. I cannot find him on the 1901 census and wonder what happened to Emma Stalker? Did she and Marshall have any children?

Marshall Hawley was born about 1867 at Barrie Township in L & A County. He was the son of Peter Perry Hawley & Leah Elizabeth Fox and a brother to my great-grandmother Julia Ann Hawley. (Peter P. Hawley was a son of Davis Hawley and Esther P. Perry/Loyalist families).

Looking for any info about Marshall Hawley and his family/families with these two women.

Daughter Jane Stalker may be the 'Jane Stalker' of Twn of New Scotland who married John Ramsey, Jr:

1823 {Baptised by Rev Thomas Holiday (no date given); John Ramsey, Jane Stalker; JANE born Feb 8, 1823 [New Scotland Presby]

John Ramsey & Jane Stalker had 9 children including Jane b. 1823. The other children were John 1826, Joseph 1829, Martha @1832, Mary @1833, Eliza @ 1835, Margaret @ 1837 m. Richard Radly (my husband's great grandparents), Isabell @1839, and Amanda @1842.

Im looking for Thomas W. Mulvey. Married Alice Degnan? Listed as Brother in law to Thomas W. Degnan who died in 1933 in Lackwanna, NY. Also listed is a Mrs W. Haggerty, brother William H. Degnan and a brother Ernst Duffin. Their mothers name is listed as, Bridget Duffin. The obit appears in the Buffalo Evening News on 11-20-1933. My father remembers relatives in Lockport, NY. We regret to announce the death of Andrew, youngest son of Chas. Stalker. For the past two weeks he had been regaining strength, until Saturday morning he was suddenly seized with convulsions. He suffered intense agony until Sunday morning when all pain left him, looking bright for only a few moments, when he closed his eyes and passed peacefully away. He was a very bright, cheerful boy, six years of age. The parents have the sympathy of the whole community in their bereavement.

In looking for documentation on my KY Stalker line, I found a listing for a Stalker genealogy in the Richmond, IN Morrisson-Reeves Library. When I contacted them, they directed me to Gene & Sylvia Stalker, now of Port Charlotte, FL. The library was reluctant to copy the text because of its length and copyright issues. I called these folks, and as a result, they sent me copies of some of their data. Our conversation revealed that they had not looked at Buckskin Ben's paternal lineage much, but had traced him to a Thomas Stalker in Madison Co. KY c. late 1790s. Although tentative, it is posible that we share this ancestor.
Does your research on Buckskin Ben corroborate Gene & Sylvia's research?
I'm especially curious because I have a photo (undated) of my father (Clifton Stalker) when he was a child (b. 1909) on a white horse. The note on the back of the photo notes that it was a circus horse. Now maybe leftover circus horses then were about as common as leftover greyhounds today, but...?

Born Nov. 3, 1915, in Malverne, N.Y., to Glen and Olive (Halack) Stalker, he moved to this area in 1982 from Oceanside, Long Island, N.Y.

Mr. Stalker worked in the picture framing business.

He was a member of the Inverness Country Club.

Survivors include his niece, Cynthia Oetter of Istachatta; and sister, Helen Lecuyer of Grand Rapids, Mich.

I believe I may be descended from the Stalkers you speak of. My maternal grandfather was Archie Louis Stalker, son of Archie Andrew Stalker and Mary Honorah Caulkins. He was born in Michigan in 1909. My mother remembers talk of a "Duncan Stalker up in Canada".

I am looking for information regarding William A. Stalker, b. 1886, Scotland, m. 10 Jul 1912 Theodate Hersey.

The 1930 Census has them in Shoreline, Addison, Vermont with four Children:
