Rescued Photo, STALLINGS Surname, East Atlanta, GA
As a hobby, I rescue old photos, if there's names to identify them. I acquired one of an older lady, who is dressed (probably) in black. She has flowers on the front of her dress and it's very ruffled. The photo is oval and printed on what appears to represent a scroll and then there's a border around that. This might have been something done to memorialize her? On the back is written: "Mrs. W.R. Stallings.(Maybe N.R.) East Atlanta, GA, at Stallings Brier Farm. 1 mile east of P.O. near Mr. Marbits home." More is written but it's hard to read, but then it says, "leave ruffle off of shoulders-" This is a "proof" of what might have been a portrait made of the lady.
