Laura Amy Gail Stane, Great-Great Grandaughter of Frank

To any Stanes out there: Hello! My name is Laura, namesake of Larry Franklin Stane Jr., who is my father. I want to post all the information I have on my family so far, because I hope that it might be of some help to someone who needs some information on the Little Rock Stanes.

First, I do have a few questions:

I know that Great-Great Grandfather, Frank (Frankie) Stane, was married to Charlotta (Lottie) Cotton, but is she the mother of Claude Franklin Stane? I heard that his mother's name was Dolly.

Also, my Great-Grandmother is Juanita Gale Stane, but I also hear that Claude was married to a lady named Marie, and had two daughters by her, Sandra Claudette (Stane) Edwards, Claudene Stane, and a son, Danny Franklin Stane (it there is also a half brother named Jimmy Brooks, but I am not sure it it is Claude's son). Can someone help me get a timeframe on who was when and if there were any other wives/children?

Ok, here is what I have so far:

Frank (Frankie) Stane was married to Charlotta (Lottie) Cotton. He may also have been married to a lady named Dolly (?). He had three brothers Thomas Earnest Stane, Jesse Stane, Charlie Stane, and a sister, Opal. With Charlotta, he had sons Claude Franklin Stane, Raymond Stane, and Clarence Stane. Raymond Stane had two sons Kermit and Gary and a daughter, Linda by wife Mildred Lurline. Claude Franklin Stane had cousins by the name of Howard Stane and Harvey Stane. He married Juanita Gale/Gail (Elkins) Stane who was supposedly born on a reservation in Kansas. Juanita Gail and Claude Stane had a son, Larry Franklin Stane Sr. Claude Stane was also married to Marie Stane and had two daughters by her, Sandra Claudette (Stane) Edwards, Claudene Stane (?), and a son, Danny Franklin Stane (there is also a half brother named Jimmy Brooks, but I am not sure it it is Claude's son). Larry Franklin Stane Sr. Born in Little Rock Arkansas and has Lived in Texas most of his life. He married Linda (?) and she had four sons; Larry Jr., Stacy, Judd, and Randy. He later married Carol (?) and had one daughter with her, Mirah, who I belive also has a child now. Stacy Stane was tragically killed as a teenager by a drunk driver. Judd Oren Stane was born on Jan. 21, 1969 and also died tragically in an automobile accident on Apr. 30, 2001, I belive driving home from a naval base. He is buried at Rosewood Funeral Home and Cemetery in Humble, Texas in Harris County. Judd has two children, Heather and Christopher by his surviving wife, Susan (?) Stane. Larry Franklin Stane Jr. was born in Huston, Texas and married Susan (Davis) Stane and had four children with her; Nickolas Anthony Stane, Laura Amy Gail Stane (me), Amber Marie Stane, and Ryan Stacy Stane.

Please feel free to help me correct anything!

Also, anyone with any information about how my great-grandparents Claude and Gail met and married, please let me know.

Dear Howard, I received your message this morning. Are you the Howard that lived in Bigelow? When Daddy was alive and he and mother were still married they use to take us kids across the toad suck ferry to visit his relatives in Bigelow. I remember Earnestine and can almost remember the faces of two of her daughters. I guess I was around 10 yrs old or so. We use to really enjoy the trips. I forgot Earnestine's husbands name. What kin are you to her and my father. I have forgotten, it has been so long and my memory is not that good any more about a lot of things. I'm only 54 and sometimes I wonder what it is going to be like when I get older. You know, we really had no contact with Frank and Lottie much when we were kids. I can only remember very few times that we were around them. Kermit and Gary live in North Little Rock. They were Raymond Stane's sons. Most of his other kids live in Texas and surrounding states. I never see them. The last time was at Raymond's funeral. Gary Stane works for the U.S. Postal Service in Little Rock. I see Kermit every now and then. He's in bad bad health because of alcohol. My brother Jimmie Brucks lives in North Little Rock. Kenny's wife still lives at Morgan right up the road from our old home place. Kenny had two kids, Kenny Lynn and April and Jimmie has four kids, James, Jackie, Katrina and Kathy. He's divorced. Danny has two kids, Danny Jr. and Tisha Kitchens. Andrea has one child, Michelle and I have one son, Benny Edwards. I think I remember you coming to the house pretty often when I was younger. The old two-story yellow house. Kenny and Shirley had a trailer next door. Well I'll close for now. Hope to hear from you.

Dear Sandra, I can't explain how grateful I am for your reply. I have relatives I haven't heard from since I was a little boy. I use to spend the night with Jimmy Brooks, which would be a half brother to you, and Danny. Kenny wasn't living at home with Claude and Marie at that time. I saw Kenny frequently up until he passed away. The last time I saw your mother was when she lived between palarm and morgan exit.I have many questions and maybe a few answers. I'll be waiting for your reply. Thank you so much.

Frankie was a bro. to my dad, Thomas Earnest Stane. If Frankie Stane was your grandpa, he had bros., Jesse, Charlie, and a sister, Opal. I knew I had cousins around England or Coy and Dumas. Raymonds' bro. Claude, was head mechanic for Rebsamen Ford before he retired and passed away. Some of my other relatives worked for the law enforcement in England. I need info on Stane's or Stain's.
