Classification: Query
Surnames: Stanfield; Jordan
I know this is a big thing to ask and is perhaps a long shot, but I am unable to break this wall.
I am looking for a Mr. Stanfield (possible name Joseph or similiar)who died between May 1854-July 1855. Most likely states would be Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi...but not certain. Age unknown.
He would be my great-great grandfather. He married an Eliza (last name starts with "B" according to my great-aunt's funeral paper) about 1850-1852. They had twin girls Ella and Emma born about 1852 in either Alabama or Georgia (1860 census Neshoba Springs, Neshoba Co, Mississippi states Alabama; all other census records for my great-aunt Emma states Georgia). Then my great Grandfather William F Stanfield was born the first of February, 1855.
Eliza marries again in July 1855 to Zachariah Jordan, so don't know just when Mr. Stanfield may have died other than between May 1854-July 1855.
I am hoping that maybe someone with a large Stanfield listing might find the possible man and dates. I've tried all other directions I know of without any results.
I would be very grateful if someone out there has some information regarding this man and his death or if someone can steer me to a place beyond cemetery listings, census records, and vital records.
Sincerely in Genealogy conquests, Sue
