William and Julia Hinson

Looking for any information on William and Julia Hinson that are listed in the 1880 Census in Big Lick. I am trying to confirm that this is the same Hinson family with at least three daughters born in NC, Magline, Isabelle, Lula, and possibly Jane, before moving to Arkansas sometime before 1892. I believe this William to be the son of John D. Hinson, the son of William (W.F.) Hinson Bible records show William to have a brother named Jim "Gim", and sisters named Fronnie, Eller, and Lizzie. Julia may well be a Hinson by birth. She was born in 1860 in NC, sister named Elizabeth. Mother was also born in NC in 1830, according to Death records for Julia, her mothers name was also Julia Hinson, but that may be a misunderstanding of the question on the form. I would assume that William and Julia were married between 1875 and 1880. Any help is appreciated.

Catherine Belle Whicher Stanley Price of NH and MA

Born - 16 Aug 1872 in Laconia, NH.
Died ~ 1961 in MA.

The Story goes as follows:

Survived smallpox epidemic, but buried Huband=Stanley and two sons. ALways wore a topknot, which she took down during storytelling to show the bald spot left by the pox. ALso had finely pitted face.

Someone said that shortly before Nana Price died she said that she was an "illegitimate child". She is the one who gave me the name of Annorah (Her mother's name) because I have it in my bride's book. She had a brother Ira and I forget if he was her twin or her half brother.

She did have a half sister Sallie Jean who is buried in Rhode Island. She died in the summer of 1945. She was living in Milwaukee with George and Beth Ottoway. Grammy refered to Beth as her cousin but what the whole relationship among everybody was I don't know.

Beth had two sons named Lester and Douglas. We got to know Doug during WWII because he was in the navy and pulled into Boston every once in a while.

Research:
I've searched the census records thoroughly. In 1870 there was a Benjamin and Hannah Whicher living in Laconia, NH. They were 54 and 52 respectively... too old to be having more children. Living with them was a son George age 15. All born in NH.

1930 census reveals an Ira Whicher living in Milwaukee, WI. Born in 1882- he is an unemployed Driver for a construction company. He is born in WI, Father: NH, Mother:WI.

1870- census shows a Charles Stanley b. 1853 in VT living in Laconia and working in a Hosery Mill.

Please- if you have any connection to any of these people and can shed some light, I would appreciate it.

gibson-ca@prodigy.net

Fabius Stanly, commander, U.S ship Wyandott 1860

I am seeking any information on this individual. While a Lt. commanding the above U. S. steamship in the Straits of Florida in 1860 he captured a laden slaver, the American-owned William, before that ship could reach her destination of Cuba. The William was brought into Key West, Florida, the nearest port, with two other slavers captured by other Navy ships that year. We have just marked the cemetery of the nearly 300 Africans who did not survive and were buried in Key West.
