Hey, that's my great uncle. His name was Ellis Stansel and the rice is Ellis Stansel's Gourmet Rice in Gueydan, LA. The business is still run by the family. The rice is nicknamed popcorn rice because it needs no butter or salt when cooking and it gives off the smell of fresh popped popcorn. All of the gourmet chefs in New Orleans and many other rice officianados only use Ellis'.
