The Stanton surname is found on both parents sides of my family. George Washington Stanton is traced back to Thomas thru Capt. Amasa Stanton, Amos Stanton , John, and Daniel Stanton etc. On mother's side, Geo.W. mar. Margaret Taylor (wife2) and sons Harry Taylor Stanton (1856) and George(1861) were born in Lawrenceville PA. When Margaret died, George married third time (Hannah Parmalee) and prospered in MI in lumber. He died 1881 in Grand Rapids.
On my father's side, Andrew Stanton b. abt 1780 came from Tolland CT. to Kingsville, Ashtabula Co.Ohio in early 1800's. I don't know Andrew's parents. His descendants are still in that area. Can anyone help with info on Harry T. and his descendants, and ancestors of Andrew?? Do they meet somewhere back in time? Please email me remorr@islc.net if you can help. Thank you.
