Donald G. Starcher,Grantsville,Calhoun Co. WV(in 1950's)

Do to a divorce,my grandkids cannot get the genealogy info they are looking for.Donald and Thelma (Roberts) Starcher are/were their great grandparents.Donald and Thelma were also divorced.We were told she later married an Atkinson.This is all the info their other grandmother would give them....Thank you for any info.

I found an old photograph of 2 women. The back is labeled "coz (cousin) "Dot STARCHER" and "Clarksburg". I assume it is Dorothy and Clarksburg is in Harrison county, West Virginia. My STARCHERs settled in Carthage, Jasper, MO and Leonardville, Kansas from this part of VA. I do not have a record of Dorothy. I would appreciate any help in knowing who Dot is. Starcher Anderson Relatives

Hello!! My name is Angela Anderson. I'm looking for Starcher and Anderson Relatives. My grandmother was Pebble Jean Starcher. My grandfather was Harold Richard Anderson. They lived in Parkersburg/Vienna West Virginia most of thier lives. They had two daughters and two sons: Michell, Michael (my father), Ginny, and Drexel. They also later adopted Edward. Drexel passed away in his early twenties, leaving one son, Drexel August Anderson. They were living in California at the time (during the early '80's). We do not know where the son is now. Michell has one son, Timothy. Ginny has two daughters, Pebble and Tiana, and Michael has two daughters, my sister, Holly and myself. I know that my grandmother Pebble had at least three brothers: Bill, Ed, and Dana Starcher. I know that she had at least three sisters: Geneva, Jan, and Rose. I know that Rose married Paul (?) who was a brother of Pebble's husband, Harold and they moved to Florida. Both of my grandparents have passed away. Geneva and Jan have both passed away also. I do not know anything about my Anderson relatives. My Dad tells stories of his childhood and spending time on a family farm with grandparents. I do not know if these are Starcher or Anderson grandparents. If anyone has any info, I would appreciate some.

There is no meaning to Starcher. The original name is Statzer and over the years the name ended up with the spelling of Starcher as more learned to read and write.

You posted your query almost a year ago and was wondering if you are still looking for the Starcher family. If you haven't found the Hacker's Creek web site yet let me know and I will email it to you. You will be able to trace many members of the family with the information they have.

Jacob Starcher and Ann Staats Starcher

The information that I have received indicates that Jacob and Ann Staats Starcher died on the same day, July 8, 1847. Does anyone have information as to the cause of death?
Jacob and Ann lived in Jackson County, VA(WV), but came there from Harrison County, VA(WV).

Lafeyette Starchers father and mother William Brannon Starcher and Caroline Barnhouse. Daughter of Thomas Barnhouse and Drusella Burnside.

William Brannon Starcher parents ore Daniel Starcher born Mar 17 1788 in Hampshire Co. Va. and Nancy Brannon born Jan 1 1818 dau . of William Brannon and Mary Paine.

Daniel Starcher parents were Jacob Starcher and Barbary Harrison and Jacobs father was Jacob Antoni Starcher .
