Thanks for the info on Daniel Stark and family. I looked at the data on the Newfield Village Cemetery website and also found
birth and death dates for Olney Dassance and his spouse, Jane Stark. She is listed as born January 9, 1814 in the CRS (Charles R. Stark Text titled, "The Aaron Stark Family, Seven Generations.") text entry while her older sister, Elizabeth, was listed as born July 2, 1813. This would imply Jane was conceived while her mother, Catherine, was pregnant with Elizabeth, which is not very likely making me question both dates in the CRS text. In this cemetery were two of their children, Mary A. Dassance and Lovesa Dassance.
Olney Dassance was born in 1811 [Inscription gives his age as 65 when he died.] and died February 12, 1876. Jane(Stark) Dassance was born in 1814 and died in 1898. Mary A. Dassance was born in 1842 and died in 1920. Lovesa Dassance was born in 1845 and died May 28, 1881.
Mary was buried next to Lovesa Dassance, who is reported in the cemetery inscription to be a daughter of Jane and Olney Dassance. Therefore, it's reasonable to believe Mary is also a daughter of this couple. Her 1842 birth year could be questioned for her parents, according to the CRS text, were
married September 30,1842, which, if Mary was conceived right after the marriage, had to have been born in 1843. If she was born in 1842, then she was conceived before her parents were married or CRS has an error in their wedding day.
Thanks for providing the information on this family.
