John Starling Columbus Co. NC and Henry Co. AL
I am looking for the wife of John Starling. She died sometime between 1820 and 1830. Possibly in Henry County AL or on the
trip from Columbus county NC to AL.
She is not Tamar Godwin daughter of Nathan Godwin who left a will 1821 Sampson County NC, Will book 1 page 50 - 51
and p. 34 -35. Tamar is actually Ammee Godwin aka Femeric who is the wife of Isaac Starling of Sampson County NC. This
connection is very well documented. Ammee can not be the wife of John of Columbus.
I made a research mistake about 10 years ago and misread Ammee for Tamar. I didn't research the connection adequately
before sharing my conclusion, Now I am trying to gather feathers on the wind.
A woman went to a wise old man to ask him how she could recall words she said about a friend. The old man told the woman
to slit open a pillow and let the breeze take the feather where it would. The woman then must reclaim the feathers. When she
had all the feathers she would know how to reclaim her words. So I am reclaiming the feathers.
