They are living in Girard, Erie Co PA on 1840 census, just 2 houses from Shephard STEARNS family, but not sure if Calvin is a son or maybe a nephew or ??. In 1830 there are 2 STEARNS/STERNES families in Erie Co PA--Shepherd and Silas.

In 1850 Calvin B is found in Rock Island, IL. He and Sophronia had the following children:
