I descended from Johan Peter Troxell (spelled Trachsel back then), and his wife Maria Magdala, who settled in Whitehall and built the tiny Troxell-Steckel farm, which is now a historic site and museum. I am unsure where the Steckel line intersects with this branch but it sounds to me like we might have the same branch. the date on the Troxell-Steckel farmhouse is 1743, I believe.
