John, Wow! Your site is amazing and I am thrilled with all of the Stedman information. I am headed to England in May and can't wait to search Kent & Stedham for my husband's roots. His GGfather came into the US in California circa 1907 from England. So definitely not a CT or Mass Stedman but one that I may pinpoint closer to an exact place in the UK.
