Peter Steffey is my ggg grandfather.

Peter came to Williamsport, MD in 1795 from Southeastern PA possibly to work as a carpenter's apprentice for Philip Steffey who is possibly his father or Uncle. Jonathan Tritle bought a lot next to Philip in 1799.
Jonathan's daughter, Catherine and Peter started to date and were according to church records a Peter Steppee and Catherine Trytle and were married December 13, 1804.
Peter served as Burgess of Williamsport from 1840-1841 and as Mayor in the same years.
When Peter's estate was settled in 1868 the following children were known to be alive. Jonathan(63); William(61); Lewis(58); Emily(50); Charles H.(49); Benjamin(47);

Alice and John had one son; Lowell Towsie Shepard B: 1881 Laurel, IN d: 1939 Connersville, IN married: Nora Mae Brown b: 1890 IN d: 1936 Connersville, IN
Lowell and Nora had four children; Leona L, Mary A, Cora and Clarence Andrew Shepard
I am the daughter of Clarence and would like any information that I can get on who Peter Steffey's ancestors were.
