My Steinkamps are from Pennsylvania and originated with a Carl Steinkampf. He died in 1885. Most of his children stayed in Pittsburgh, PA. Some Steinkampf's were said to have moved to Ohio. But don't know when opr if they moved further west. All Carl's children used Steinkamp as their surname rather than Steinkampf.
