I am posting my Stephens research to this board in hopes of finding some additional connections to my James Stephens born abt 1740. Unfortunately much of this research has been done on the internet because I'm handicapped and can no longer get out to do original, on-site research. To the best of my ability I've tried to make sure my current info is as correct as possible, however if someone finds some "boo-boos" I'm certainly open to changing it/them. Have fun!

Notes for MARGARET: BIRTH: In 1850 Census Margaret Stephens was listed as living in the household of Angereau and Lucinda Stephens Franklin--this would put her birth date around1763. I am guesstimating that Margaret was Lucinda's grandmother.
BIRTH: From info in Caldwell Co. History Book (1987), Margaret was evidently
Lucinda's mother. Margaret's husband was James Stephens who died about 1845.
Although they originally came from South Carolina, it's not known if they were
both born there. (6/22/93)
Children of JAMES STEPHENS and MARGARET are:

Notes for LUCINDA STEPHENS:
Her name first appears on 1850 U.S. Census taken on 10 Jul 1850. Age was
listed as 25, but this may be incorrect as her first child would have been born
when Lucinda was only about 11 years old. She may more likely have been born
in 1815 instead of 1825. I have not yet checked 1860 Census. 1-5-92, talked
with Jimmy Kirk in Marion, Kentucky (who wrote about the Franklins in the Crittenden County History Book).
