I am trying to find information on my husband's family and have hit a brick wall. My husband's grandparents were Walter Thomas Stephens (born 1881 in Anderson, IN)and Etta Victoria Epley (born 1888). Walter's mother's name was Belle. She was born in 1862 and was widowed by the 1900 census where she was listed as Belle Stevens in Anderson IN. She also had a son named John O. on that census. By 1910, she was living with Walter and his family in Knoxville TN. According to the 1910 census, her father was born in Indiana and her mother was born in Ohio. I've not been able to trace back any further without a maiden name or husband's name. Can anyone out there help me?
