The history I have was compiled by Anna Fredrics, I believe she is gone now. There is a publication she made with over 40 years of research that is very complete. Peter Stepro is somewhat of a mistery. He was in America in the late 1700s and was born in Prussia in the mid 1700s. Now as I have it from Anna he left Prussa to escape the Ottoman wars which were very bloody. This may explain the made up name probably an aka of something else.
He was married three times as were many men back then.
Being a woman was not a healthy thing then. They probably died either in child birth or they worked themselvs to death. There is also a Morman thread that may explain the multiple wives, however I have no proof of this. If anyone is able to track his immigration to this country it would be a treasure for us all, but he was escaping as a refugee so this may never happen. Good Luck, Steve Stepro Turlock, Ca.
