Charley Martin Stettler, Cañon City, CO, died Nov. 23, 2004, at his home. He was born Feb. 10, 1922, in Horseshoe Creek near Las Animas.
He worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He also donated his time to do taxes for the senior citizens through AARP in Florence and Cañon City.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; his daughters, Patti Stitt, Peggi Gamba, Pamela Simmons; son, James Stettler; sister Lena Crosley, nine grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Gertrude Stettler; and brothers, James, Don, Leroy, and John.
Charles Anthony Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
