Hi Sharon,
I know that one of Elijah Stevens' sons, Elijah (the junior) was a minister. And I believe that profession ran in the family. So, it is very possible that the James Stevens, in whose home the wedding took place, could also be a descendant of Elijah. We would have to do some more research.
