Arthur T. "Art" Stevens, 89, of Swissvale, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Art served his country proudly in the Army during World War II and was a charter member of Swissvale VFW Post 6679. Dear son of the late William E. and Martha Stevens. Loving brother of Ruth Curran, Shirley Stephens and the late Eleanor Kammerer, Martha J. Thomas, William E. and Walter Stevens, Ethel Cirbus and Doris Held. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale, where a service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
