Any help with this man (family) would be so VERY appreciative !

Rev. John Stewart was a Presbyterian minister, who served during the War of 1812 as a chaplin. He was born ca 1780. He left Junius Twp., Seneca County, New York in 1826 - - - and died 4-months later when he moved his family to Oakland County, Michigan.

John married in 1814, Jane Spears. I am thinking this was his second wife, as John appears in both 1810 and 1820 census with children.

I am thinking he had a son named MATTHEW A. STEWART, who married a Lydia Short. They lived in Erie County, OHIO.

Any help appreciated !

Steve Guthrie
