Elbe Stichler was in Washington State in 1917 or 1918 and was married to Ida. There were 3 children in the 1930 census, Edward b.abt 1919; Leonard b. abt 1922 and Ruth b. abt 1924. Elbe was not mentioned in the 1930 census with the family. Birth Index for 1919 shows a child born to Elbe and Ida as Edgar b. 31 July 1919. 1930 census also lists a Helen L. Stichler b. abt 1919 in Michigan.

Are any of these folks in your family tree? I can find nothing further but was told that there was a fire in Ida Stichler's apartment and some of the children died but cannot confirm that yet. Ida Stichler was my mothers sister and my mother and Edgar/Edward were born about the same time.
