GEORGE STICKEL OF PERRYOPOLIS CLAIMED BY DEATH
George STICKEL, 73 years old, a lifelong resident of Perry township, died at 3 o'clock this morning at his home at Perryopolis following a brief illness.
Mr. Stickel for many years was engaged with his father, David, in operating the STICKEL general merchandise store at Perryopolis. This was one of the oldest business places in that locality.
Later Mr. Stickel was employed in carrying mail from the Washington Run Railroad station to the Perryopolis post office. He spent many years doing this work.
His stepmaother, Mrs. Vada [Nevada] STICKEL, and three brothers survive. The brothers are John and Elroy [Ellery]
both of Perryopolis, and David. Mrs. Stickel and David reside together.
