But it seems your email doesn't work, so please email me at christinebiggs@gmail.com as soon as you can. I have a ton of info for you.

Thanks,
Chris

I'm searching for information on Samuel Stickell shown in 1870 census in Miami, Ohio with wife Mary and their children Charles, Benjamin, Albert, Elizabeth and Stephen.

I believe the Mary to be Margaret "Mary" McClain of my line.
I have a copy of a will from her mother showing her daughter to be Margaret Stickell. I have no other information except my Margaret born 1835 in Fayette, PA.

Wow, Heather. So sorry I haven't been reading this message board in while... I have a copy of that newspaper clipping too about how Ellsworth died, and for so long I thought Ellsworth died as a teenager because he looked so young in the picture! And I just recently found out that he wasn't that young when he died and he had a huge family!!

My husband is Bruce Biggs, son of Maude Stickell Biggs, Ellsworth's sister. I would love to see any info or pictures you have. If you can, send me a note at christinebiggs@gmail.com and I'll see how I can get some of my pictures and info to you.

Thanks,
Chris

I haven't come across any connection yet with Laurance and Harrison Sr., but I also haven't found ALL of Harrison's children, so he could be one of his sons. I've been corresponding with another Stickell cousin and she said she spoke with Joseph Stickell before he died a few years ago (he was a son of Benjamin Stickell), who said that his grandfather Harrison said he had 17 children! Also, Maude Stickell (my husbands grandmother and one of Harrison's children) said that she was the 10th child born, and I only show her as the 7th child born, so I'm obviously still missing a few of Harrison's children!

Sue,

I have some info on Harrison T. Stickell from Baltimore, MD... Which one are you looking for, the father or the son? Are you descended from Harrison T. Stickell? My husband is so that's why I'm researching it. He's descended from Harrison T. Stickell Sr > Maude Louise Stickell.

Thanks,
Chris
Just like everyone, your name goes back hundreds of years. However, tracing the exact route is the challenge. A few questions:

1. Where in Southern MD do you live exactly?
2. What are the names, birth dates, birth locations, death dates, and death locations of your parents, grand parents, and great grand parents (specifically the Stickells)?

As I do more research, I can see if there's a connection between our Stickell branch and yours.

Would you know if Harrison Stickell had a son by the name of Laurence Stickell who was born in Maryland on November 10, 1890, married Dorothy Barbour? I find that he is working on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad at the same time as other Stickells, such as Harrison, Jr., Samuel, and Benjamin. If Laurence is a brother to the others, and the son of Harrison (Sr.), I would love to have copies of the pictures you mentioned. Please respond to my e-mail address one way or the other. Thank you. Donna - donnalor@erols.com

Maybe you could check out that spelling.
I am looking for the husband of Hettie Burrall Stickle ( Stickell) I have her in the 1860 census unmarried...then in the 1870 census with the last name Stickle with 2 children..but no husband listed. So if you run across this family...please let me know
By the way it was the Franklin County, Pa. Census.
Burralphyl@webtv.net
Thanks...Phyllis
