Mrs. Emma Alice Browand, a resident of Lewistown for 29 years, died at her home, 12 West Hale Street, Lewistown, Tuesday evening at 10 o'clock, aged 79 years 1 month, 27 days.During the last eight years she was an invalid as the result of a broken left hip gone which she suffered in an automobile accident near Mill Creek, Huntingdon County, Penna. Widow of Harry Browand, who came to his death by an accident at Newton Hamilton, May 12, 1900. Her maiden anme was Miss Alice Stickle of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She came to Lewistown in 1905. She leaves four sons and three daughters; B. Percy Browand, Huntingdon; Harry S Browand, Enid, Bedford County, Pa., Charles H Browand, Mrs. Alice L Garver, widow of Arthur R Garver, and Miss Anna E Browand West Hale Street, Lewistown, Arthur R Browand, Youngstown, Ohio, Mrs Albert (Lottie)Smith, Lewistown. One brother, Rev. Charles H Stickel, Maher, Colorado, retired Baptist minister aged 70 years, and Mrs Ida Hazelton, Lansing, Mich.Burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery, Newton Hamilton, beside her husband.
This obit was in a very tattered bible found at a yard sale in Orbisonia, Penna. No name on or in the bible itself.
