Surnames: Payne, Stillwell, Enlow, Simmons
The earliest Stillwell ancestor I have record of is Captain Richard Stillwell who was born in the British Isles sometime between 1732 and 1737. I don't have any details of his arrival in the colonies, but he served in the American Revolutionary War from 1775 to 1785 rising to the rank of Captain; his home base was Makefield Township of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. In 1784 he married Sarah Enlow. By 1786 they had settled in Kentucky where their son Henry was born August 12. They also had another son who died by choking. Sarah died in 1790, and Richard supposedly married her sister with whom he had four daughters. He died in 1836 and was buried near Dubois Co., IN.

Henry Stillwell married (1) Sarah Simmons on September 15, 1816 in Harrison Co., IN. They had five sons and a daughter in the years 1819-1832, all born in IN.

Richard (1819 - 1884)–-my GGG-grandfather

Moses (1821-1848)

Elizabeth (1824 - )

William Basil (1824 - 1849)

Thomas (1830-1916)

Solomon (1832-1916)
Henry Stillwell married (2) Mary Bolin in 1837. They had four children: Jarrett, Sarah, Charlotte, and one deceased. Henry died 5 Apr 1887 in Pike Co., IN.

Does anyone recognize any of the above individuals? Thank you for your time.
