I am looking for information about Stinchfield's who came over in the 1600's or 1700's and helped to build a fort (or fortress) in Maine. The farthest I can go back is John S. Stinchfield b. July 10, 1793 in New Gloucester, Cumberland, Maine. There is a book with this information. Does anyone know any thing about this?
