I don't know if anyone still needs it, but I have information on the Paul Stines of Wise County, VA. His father was Joseph and his mother was Emma Coomer of Lee County, VA. If anyone is interested, please contact me.

The parents of Joseph Harry Stines were James Napoleon Stines and Eliza Price They were both born and died in Madison County, N.C.

paul and ruby stines were my uncle and aunt they lived in ohio both deceased were from tennessee and kentucky he is the brother of my dad george d stines son of duley newman stines

Paul and George Stines were the sons of Duley Newman Stines and Stella Alice Robbins. Duley and Stella were both born in Campbell County, TN. They had seven children altogether.

Hi,

I'm sorry, I can't help you with the lineage of Isaac Stines, but in the 1880 Philadelphia, PA. census, two of Emma Stines' daughters, Lilly J. Black and Mary Bradberry, are living with Emma and Isaac Stines. Lilly J. Black married a Thomas Cubbin sometime in 1885 in Philadelphia, PA. Thomas Cubbin was born in England and immigrated to the U.S. around 1875.

Hi I am pretty sure that this Isaac Stines is some how related to Obadiah Stines from Upperfreehold,Monmouth County, NJ Do you have an in information on Obadiah Stines b. 1762 and d. 1839 I know he married a Catherine Wilgus in 1801 in Upperfreehold, nj He had a son John Stines who moved to Drake County Ohio in 1839.

Any information you might have on him would br grreatly appreciated.

I am looking for information concerning the family of Catharine Steins/Stines, b. about 1814 in Kentucky. 1850 she was in Spencer Co., Indiana. 1870 Perry Co., Indiana.
Known children: Elizabeth age 16 in 1850; Henry age 14 in 1860; Roxcilena age 11 in 1850; Daniel age 9 in 1850; Celia age 6 in 1850; and John R. age 3 in 1850. ANy help on this family?

Anna Maria Stines

I am looking for an obituary for Anna Maria Stines. The surname was originally spelled "Staines". (It would be changed by 1853) She was born in Galveston Texas on March 6, 1853. It looks like she died by 1860 and the cause was probably yellow fever or small pox. (She's not listed in the 1860 census) Her parents were Anna Maria Smith and William Staines. She had a brother, Marion Smith Stines born in 1850. This comes from family bible records and two deed affadavits. No date of death was recorded in the bible.
The deed affadavits state that Anna died "in infancy" and "at a tender age"
There is a marriage record in Galveston for "Anna M. Stines and Henry Earl McDonald" dated Nov. 10, 1869 but I'm not convinced that this is my Anna

According to the 1880 Census Isaac Stines was a brush dealer. The information for his wife and son are also on file.
I got the information through Ancestry.com.

I am looking for information Stines family who were from Ireland. My ggmother Ella Stines McGinity was from Ulster, New York.

Hello Linda. I believe your Henry Stines is a brother to my Elizabeth J. Stines. My Henry was born in 1836 and his mother was Catherine Stines. I just happened upon this site and saw this message. Paul Stines was the brother of my grandmother Mary Stines and Ruby was his wife. My father is Donald Stines.
