In Green County Circuit Court Case 5840 John B. Skaggs vs. Milly Ann Skaggs
John B. Skaggs states that he married Milly Ann Stinnett. She was induced to mary him more from regard to he property than from any well grounded affection for him. She has abandoned him and he wants a divorce.
This is a long case and many Green County people made depositions.
My interest...on April 8, 1847 my ancestor John Smith stated (among other things) "John Stinnett and I are somewhat related. We have always claimed that by Father's side. I have been in the habit of visting John Stinnett when I passed." I have been unable to determine what that relationship was. Can you help?
