Lockhart, South Carolina - in Union Co.

I wrote to the library in Union South Carolina to ask who and how the town of Lockhart was named. The only information I got was it was named after James Lockhart a miller that was there early. I know that David Stockton 1744-179/90 who married Margaret Haden is said to have died in Union County South Carolina. Elizabeth Stockton married Thomas Lockhart in VA. Thought I would get more information than what I got.
