I am trying to figure out a pretty bizarre situation. I have an ancestor, George Leggett, who married Julia Stokes. They are single on the 1870 census, and childless on the 1880. In the GreenWood Cemetery, four children, and Julia and George are buried. The records don't give parents, but they are in a lot with 17 people, most of whom are Stokes of various names. Even though one child is born before 1870, it seems obvious to me that they must be their children- they all died as babies, of causes related to cholera. I would like to find out more about the Stokes family and those on the list but didn't have much luck on ancestry. Anyone know anything about this Stokes family- this is the late 1800's and the people seem to reside in NYC and NJ and several in Philadelphia. Thanks, Sue
