I may be able to help. I just got my database back up and running after three years of sitting on a zip drive after my Mac got hit by lightning. I finally got a new Mac, so I have my Stoltz database loaded. I have quite a bit on the Stoltz side. My line is as follows, beginning with my g-grandmother:

Flora Alma Stoltz and George Edward Ingalls
George William Stoltz and Minnie May Routt
James Pargen Stoltz and Talitha Gillaspie
Samuel Stoltz and Nancy Pargin
Samuel or Ludwig Stoltz and Margretta ?

If you tell me your lineage, I can check to see if your people are in my database, as I have the brothers and sisters of all these folks, and lots of family history. As soon as we can plug each other into the big family web, I can start sending you information that might be useful for you.

Karma Yoakem
This is my great-great grandfather. Family lore states that his parents Unknown Stoltz and Unknown Lang emigrated with their teenage son from Prussia to the US to escape him being forced into the military. He married Helena Schneller in Illinois in 1875. They had 4 sons and 3 daughters:

Julius
Ellen
George/Georg
Edwin Wilhelm
Albet
Elvira
Clara

Family lore also w=says that Elvira researched the family tree back to early 1500s, and that the family may have been minor gentry, possible with the name von Stoltzburg , somewhere near what is now Danzig, Poland.

Any information on this line would be greatly appreciated.

My dad's name is Glenn Stoltz and his father was Jacob Stoltz from PA. He was one of several kids. I know he had a brother Marley and a sister Anastacia for sure and several others. Does that help at all? I believe the Stoltz family is originally from Bavaria.
Mark, Shirley and Patricia at stolzworldwide.com would dearly love to be able to connect with you. However at this stage in our research we have only established that our Josef Stolz was living in Rothwasser (Germany) in 1796 with his Mother, Elizabeth, who died in that year. Next year he married Theresia Langhammer and two children were born, Josef and Wiktoria. Our dilemna is that our ancestor was not born in this village nor did he die in this village, so we do not know where he originated from. We assume that other members of his family may have ended up in America but we have not made this connection yet. Sorry we cannot be of more help until further research uncovers some more clues. stolzworldwide.com

Re: Boyd STOLTZ

Grace Stoltz was a half sister to my grandmother, Lilly. Her Dad, Theodore Smith, first married my grandmother's mother. She died and he then married his first wife's sister. Their maiden name was Snyder. I do not know of a child named Grace unless she died as an infant or before my time. I do know of the other children, Theodore, Betty, Ruby and Barnium. They were my Dad's age. All of Boyd's children are deceased now. Betty had two children. One son is dead but his son, Travis Trainer, is a police office for Sumner. The other son, Larry Stoltz, 65+ years old is retired and is also living in Sumner. Ruby had one child, Gaylord Bates. I last heard he lived in Tenn but I think he also died. Barnium had several children but they did not live in Sumner when I grew up. I do not know if Theodore had any children although he did raise a step son. The circus story is true. Theodore Smith and his twin brother, Vic came from England. Theodore was a portrait artist and set designer. Vic's daughters had an acrobatic and slack wire act under the name of Loretta Sisters. They are now in the Circus Hall of Fame. I am trying to get more information on it. If you have any other questions, I can ask my 84 year old Dad and my 95 year old aunt who grew up with their cousins.

Re: Stoltz in Norway

Hallo!
