Classification: Query
I am posting the obits of my 2nd great grandmother and grandfather in hopes of assisting others and also to verify information and also to see if anyone has additional information on Mazannah Stonebraker and her parents, John Stonebraker and Catherine??. I am interested in finding out the following: (I may be reached at gliv@bellsouth.net)
• Any surviving pictures, pic of tombstone if one exists.
• Verify Mazannah's parents Names, d.o.b, where they came from death dates, origin
• Names of Mazannah's siblings (supposedly she had 14 siblings)
• Any other historical information such as land records, etc.
Mazahhan was born Aug 1833 and her father's name was John Stonebraker ( no d.o.b, place of birth, date of death, origin). John Stonbraker's wife was said to be Catherine ??? - no additional informational is available for on Catherine. The ancestors of John Stonebraker and Wife Catherine, have become a brick wall for me. I have Mazannah's birth as Aug 1833 and death about April or May 1925.

PIONEER WOMAN CALLED BEYOND
Mrs. Mazannah Stanley, 91, Laid to Rest Monday Afternoon at Montpelier.
Mrs. Mazannah Stanley, aged 91 died at her home in Montpelier, Saturday evening, following a brief illness with complication and old age. Mrs. Stanley had been in poor health for the past several months.
"Aunt Mazan" as she was commonly known, was one of the pioneer residents of the county. She and her husband, Lewis Stanley, moved to Blackford county from Bluntsville, Ind., fifty years ago. The husband preceded the deceased in death, several years ago.
The dead woman was widely known throughout the county and had many friends in Montpelier and in Randolph and Henry counties.
Mrs. Stanley was the oldest of a family of fourteen children, all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by three children - Mrs. John Koontz and Lloyd Stanley, both of Montpelier, and Seas Stanley, of Muncie.
Funeral services were conducted from the late home in Montpelier, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and burial was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in that city.
