Surnames: Stoneman, Hankin, White, Hale, Jameson
Hi I really have hit a brickwall wih my brother-in-laws branch of the family tree and I'm hoping that someone might be able to help me here.
George Henry Stoneman who I know was residing at 3 Ashford Street, Shoreditch in 1901 was a witness to a wedding that took place in December 1902 of John White Hankin and Ellen Jane Hale.
My hunch is that George may be related in some way to John and I'd really appreciate some help to find out if he is or not.
Sadly I have been unable to trace John White Hankin to any of the census papers yet so any help at all would be fantastic. John by the time his first child was born had dropped the Hankin and was known as John White.
The other witness on the marriage certificate is a Rose Jameson.
