Does anyone out there have information on a Cord Henry Stork and Anna Maria (Schaeffer) Stork. There is an article in QUINCY AND ADAMS COUNTY, HISTORY AND REPRESENTATIVE MEN by David F. Wilcox about them in which the follwing information is found:

born: 9 Feb 1802 in Prussia
immigrated: 1854 from Eilshausen, Westphalia, Prussia to Quincy, Adams Co, Illinois USA
died: 20 Jun 1854 in Quincy, Adams Co, Illinois

Cord Henry Stork had four sons: Albert Henry Stork, Frank Ludwig Stork, Frederick William Stork, and Herman Stork.

Anna Maria (Schaeffer) Stork remarried after her husband died. On 13 May 1864, she married Francis Henry Stanbrock (or Haubrock).

I am really hoping to find someone who has more information on this family as I am having a hard time coming up with anything else. Please, if you recognize these people, leave a post and we can get in contact. Thanks.

Bell, Betty Maurine

BELL-Betty Maurine Bell, 92, passed away February 13, 2008 in Flagstaff, AZ. She was born September 10, 1915 to William and Ethel Stork in Orange, CA. She worked as secretary for a number of schools, retiring from North Whittier School. She was a member of Women's Club in San Juan Capistrano and a Bunko group in San Clemente. She volunteered at San Clemente Hospital for a number of years. Betty enjoyed gardening and collecting antiques. She is survived by her son Steve (Lori) Bell of Flagstaff, daughter, Pam Bateman of Phx, AZ; grandsons Matt Bateman of Flagstaff and Brett Bateman of LV, granddaughter Kari Simone of Phx, Gina Simone of Oregon and one great grandchild Logan Shelby Bateman. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Bell and granddaughter Katie Bell. Betty enjoyed the Make a Wish Foundation, her family has asked that donations be made in her memory. My Great Grandmother's father's name was William Herman Stork. He was born in Quincy, Illinois (1882) married Clara Ann Fuehr in Butte, Montana (1909) had a daughter (1919) and died (1950). William's parents were Hermann Stork and Louisa Luekenhelter. Louisa was born March 15th, 1850 and I believe Hermann was born about 1847. Both were born in Prussia/Germany and died in the United States (see below for details).
I am having a terrible time finding any information on these people and would greatly appreciate anything anyone might know about them or their ancestors, specifically Hermann, his ancestors, and Louisa's ancestors.

My information is sparse but here's everything I have:

My grandfather, Joseph Frank Stork, has been a mystery. But to make matters worse, I had some wrong information like where he was born, etc. He was born in 1883. His ship manifest states he was german, born in what I originally thought was Bohemia/Olbersdorf but now I found out it may be Albersdorf. Under nationality he was listed as Austria/Bohemia. Under the 1920 US census, he is listed as being born in Moravia. Therefore, my problems. He came to the states via Galveston in 1906. I know absolutey nothing about him or his family, mother's name, etc. He had a brother and a nephew in Czech and that is all I know about him. He left home and apparently never kept in touch for some reason. Any help whatsoever would be appreciated. He married Lillie Elizabeth Creuzbaur.

I don't have a spouse for Casper but it looks to be very close. They changed their names often to avoid being labeled, they "Americanized" them. I have a huge amount of Storks in my family tree. I am trying to find descendants/relatives of the STORK family who lived at 25, Bruce Road in the 1930s to 70s. A friend has a small suitcase full to the brim of photo's and personal letters . There is no value to this little gem of a lot, but the family history contained within would be a shame to loose so if any of these names ring any bells please feel free to contact me. SAMUEL STORK and ISABEL had 3 sons SAMUEL, IRVING and NORMAN.

New to this, pls. bear with me! My greatgrandfather, Charles Moore Stork was a banker who transferred from Windsor to Belleville (Ont) in 1888. Recently discovered his parents were Christopher Stork and Jane Trueman. His wife was Charlotte Lucretia Laing whose parents were Alfred Laing and Eleanor Harley of Toronto. From there I am at a loss as to where to go. Any help (or relatives!) appreciated. There is still a flock of storks here in Belleville anxious to learn a little more! I have an obit from Santa Ana, Orange Co. CA dated Jan. 1973 for FONTAINE K. CLENDENEN that lists a surviving daughter JACQUELINE STORK of Hemet, California and 4 grandchildren.

Fontaine Clendenen was b. 1891, Clinton Co. Iowa, and married Harriet Hockaday {possibly in the 1920s} in St. Louis, MO area. He was the son of Frank Leslie CLENDENEN b. 1864 Cass Co. MI. and Lena Eloise FLANIGAN b. 1870 New York.

This obit is the first indication I have that Fontaine & Harriet had children. Any info on the STORK family or any other branches of the Fontaine CLENDENEN family will be greatly appreciated. The info I have on the CLENDENEN family will be gladly shared.

I am STUCK!
Herman William Stork (born 1900 in Fairview PA) married to Georgia P. Dunn.
They had 2 sons. #1. Herman Stork JR (born 28 April 1925, died Sept. 1985) and #2. Gerald Stork.
Georgia P. Dunn died after difficulties in childbirth and Gerald was raised by his aunt Vic.

Herman William Stork's and Gerald's father was George Stork (born 1855? in Baden Baden Germany) and was married to Elizabeth (also born in Germany).

Any info on George, Elizabeth or Herman Jr Stork is where I am stcuk and could use some help.

Having checked this Message Board I have not found
a mentioning of this Hessian soldier of the American
Revolution who was stationed in Halifax with the Hesse-
Kassel Regiment v.Seitz, and decided to stay in Nova
Scotia when his Regiment left for home in August 1783.
His name was Lucas STORCH, later known as Luke
Stork, born in Schmalkalden in Thuringia, who married
on 13, Jan. 1785 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia to a local
girl, Mary Juliana DEAL. This acc. to the church records
of the Lutheran Church in Lunenburg. Mary died at age
29 on 12. Feb.1788, and I have found no further data
about this Hessian soldier.

Her name was Paula Volz, she was from Wixhausen/Germany and married an Army man who was stationed in Darmstadt, named Johnny Trotter, originally from Florida. She immigrated to Tennessee, USA in late 1964 to marry Johnny Trotter, they had 3 children. My friend, Paula first stayed with her sister in Tennessee who was maried to any Army officer at the time, but I don't know her name. I am looking for information on David and Margaret Storks. They moved from Des Moines County, Iowa to Louisa County, Iowa approximately 1859. They had two sons, Levi Storks, last known to be in Mediapolis, Iowa (1926), and James Storks, last known in to be in Claflin, Kansas (1926).

The daughter of David and Margaret Storks was Alice, born 1858. She married James Bailey in Iowa during 1876. She died 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara Graham. She was also survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Ermil Crane of San Francisco, and Eva Mincher of Monmouth, IL. The later was my great-grandmother. Thank you.

Great grandmother Jane Doubledee, daughter of Hannah Stork and Charles Doubledee was born 1863 in Kirkbymoorside Union Workhouse. Hannah and Jane were abandoned by Charles early on. My great grandfather came to the USA alone, and never would divulge any information about his family he left behind. He was named JOSEF (Joseph) FRANK STORK, and was born on Jan. 8, 1883, in Obelsdorf (may be Olbersdorf?) Czechoslovakia. He married Lillie Elizabeth Creuzbaur (born here in the states) whose lineage origionates from Prussia and Germany. Early spelling of Creuzbaur was Kreuzbaur, and her farther lineage reveals surnames of Von Hornig, Welhausen, Fricke, Dily, and Doming.

Any info on Josef/Joseph Stork's lineage would be greatly appreciated. We've hit a stone wall on this one.
