You may have found more information since your last post, but I have been visiting cemeteries in Stoutsville near Circleville where the Stouts are plentiful and I believe may know Charles C. Stout's parents. Among many Stout tombstones, I found this one... On one side was John Stout born in 1840 and died aged 59y 4 mo. and 9 days on June 25th, 1899. He was a decorated civil war veteran serving from 1865-67? Married to Mary J.born October 3rd, 1839 and died May 13th, 1925. They had a son Charles E, Stout who was born Dec. 24th, 1871 and died June 21st, 1936 who married Emma B. Stout born July 16th, 1865 and died April 3rd, 1931. I am wondering if these were Charles C Stout's parents. In the cemetery is also a Minnie Belle Stout who died in infancy. I wonder if Grandma could have been named after this child. Maybe you know...Nearby there was also a Mildred and Guy Stout, a Samuel and Ida...So many...There are more Stouts in there than any other family...Please let me know if you can gleam anything from any of this.
