John, who is your father? I am James Stove's gggranddaughter and am searching for the Stove tree. Is there one? Is this "Nicol" an ancestor? Please reply. Thanks. Laurice.

John, it appears that we are cousins. I too am a gggrandchild of James Stove, son of John Stove & Flora Teaboy. I am also having difficulty finding any information on John & Flora. Edward LaVallee is my grandfather, the son of Florence Stove, and the grandson of James Stove. If I find anything, I will let you know.

Looking for info on Nicol,married to Margaret Halcrow. They had the following children: Janet Benenson, Jean, Margaret, William, James, and John Stove.

Dear Madame:

I am James Stove's great great grandson, who's father was
John Stove from somewhere in Scotland..i have yet to
determine where he came from..he was born in the 19th
century. He was married to Flora Teaboy..another puzzling
name for me to find.

My dad's great great grandfather was John Stove who worked
for the Hudson's Bay Company in the 1800's. I know that he
left from Glasglow and was married to Flora Teaboy who was
Metis. They lived in Cumberland House, NWT (SK today in
Canada) and had a son named James Stove who was married
to Mary Jane Sinclair...James and his wife moved to Grand Rapids, MB and had a daughter named Florence Stove, my
grandmother who is now deceased.
