James L.D.Harbin.In 1850 census,OH.Madison,a Thomas Strain b.abt.1804 S.C. has a daughter Elvira b.1844 OH.In 1860,Thomas & family were in Camp,Polk,Iowa. Believe these families may be related.Also may've had relatives who went to TN.
