ALEDO, Ill. - Helen Stratton, 88, of Aledo, Ill, formerly of Milan, Ill., died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at Lynncrest Manor in Aledo. Services will be at Knox-Larson Funeral Home in Rock Island, Ill. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital. Mrs. Stratton was born on Dec. 7, 1911, in Eliza Township, Ill., the daughter of Owen and Florence Hampton Hudson. She married J. Leonard Stratton on Aug. 4, 1940, in Bethany, Mo. He died Oct. 11, 1989. She attended the First Baptist Church in Aledo. She enjoyed handiwork, especially crochet, antiques, and photography. Survivors include two sisters, Leotta Bieri of Rock Island and Frances Banks of Aledo; a brother, Vaughn Hudson of Genoa, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Laverne Hudson.
