I'm researching my ggg-grandfather Wm. Strickland b. 1795 in Johnston Co., NC m. "Lany" Creeck in Johnston Co., NC in 1813. Trying to find out who his parents and siblings were. According to the will of Benjamin Strickland of Johnston Co., NC dated Apr. 21, 1817 (Prob. Feb. Ct. 1821) he had sons Samuel, William and Jeremiah and daughters Phereba Howell, Lottey, Howell and Dorcas Herring. Does anyone know if this Wm. is the one who married "Lany" Creech? Wm. & "Lany" migrated to Bartholomew Co., IN around 1826. On the 1830 U.S. Fed Census for Bartholomew Co., it doesn't appear that any of his family moved with him. Would appreciate any help on this.
