Paul Strimple was born Mar 11, 1829 in Clermont County, Ohio. He died Jun 15, 1913 Kansas. Paul Strimple brought his family to Kansas in 1870. Rev Paul Strimple organized the Rossville Methodist Church in 1872 in the James School House located three miles west of town. The original church was torn down in 1991. He was an old time circuit preacher of fire and eloquence. Paul's first wife taught him how to read and write. His family was bitterly poor. Paul was considered a stern reformer, fighting strongly for what he believed in. He married Louisa Jane Bush on Oct 24, 1861 Lawerence County, Illinois and to this Union eight children were born.

I have a picture of this entire family. Paul's family lived in Eureka, Greenwood Kansas for quite some time he also founded a church in this area. Several of the children settled in this area and were married around there.

The Strimple name is seem most often in Kansas, Clermont, Ohio and New Jersey.
I would look through the list of Paul's kids for a possible parent from Greenwood.
I know Arthur was in Greenwood and married a Melissa something. I think he might have a file on WWW.familysearch.org.
