I am seeking information on Samuel Strine, my great-grandfather. He was born in 1845, and died in Defiance Cnty, OH, in 1932. I know he married Mahalia Gustin in Paulding Cnty, OH, in 1883. They had 7 children - Jennie, Anna, Harley, Elmer, Emmitt, Earl & Ora. Census reports from 1900-1930 indicate he was born in Ohio or Indiana, and that his parents were born in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York or Germany - ??? My mother thought he was Pennsylvania Dutch which would lead back to Pennsylvania, but I really have no information on him prior to 1883. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
