"G. L. S. Stuff [Was Pastor of this church] July 1844 to August 1845 -- Was born at Cincinnati, O., April 21, 1822. Was admitted to Rock River Conference in 1841. Was appointed teacher at the Oneida Indian Mission in 1843, and boarded with the missionary, H. R. Colman, father of Henry Colman, of our conference, who attended the school; as a preacher he was earnest, instructive, and eloquent. He died at Elgin, Ill., May 11, 1893."
