Elizabeth M. "Betty" Martin Stumpf, 85, daughter of Walter Ray and Jennie Harlan Howard, was born Aug. 15, 1920, at Alton, Ill. She died March 7, 2006, at Heritage Park Skilled Care Center.
She married Wesley Paul Martin Oct. 28, 1939. He was pastor of the Success Baptist Church for several years and preceded her in death March 14, 1987.
She married Leonard Stumpf Sept. 19, 1995. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 2005.
Mrs. Stumpf was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and had volunteered for the Rolla Senior Companions for many years.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Surviving are her children, Jerry Martin of East Alton, Ill., Philip Martin of Bethalto, Ill., Kevin Martin of Troy, Gregory Martin of Rolla and Pam Harney of Salem; two sisters, Jean Carroll of Oregon and Jennie Davis of St. Louis; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were March 11 at the Second Baptist Church in Rolla with the Rev. Kenney Campbell and the Rev. Kerry High officiating. Burial was in the Ozark Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla.
Memorials may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church.
